Mohs surgery is covered by most major medical insurance plans, including Medicare, when it is performed to treat skin cancer. Coverage typically includes the surgical removal and tissue processing as well as the reconstruction, subject to your plan's standard copay, coinsurance, or deductible.

Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the federal No Surprises Act, patients who do not have insurance, or who choose not to use it, have the right to a written Good Faith Estimate of the expected charges for scheduled care. Ask for one when you schedule or at any time before your surgery. We provide it at least one business day before the service, or three business days when you schedule ten or more days ahead.
If you are billed $400 or more above your estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. Keep a copy of your estimate. For questions or a copy, call 813-867-6200. More information: www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
